Hi Marc, I have been meaning to post this earlier but I have been busy. First off, a whole bunch of scenery- (signal masts,Tunnel portals, one bridge, and a lot of vegetation) is missing between Marcel and Woodford. Some of the overpasses south of the UP Bakersfield yard are missing bridge supports or have the supports but do not have the overpass itself. There is also some errant track at the northeast end of the UP Bakersfield yard. And our favorite double wide mobile home at the south end of Mojave is missing its textures again. I will post some more pictures of the Woodford- Marcel area in another post.

That's why it's called work in progress. ;)

 

The first image in your initial post, the two tracks crossing is where the turntable is to be set. The missing bridges and/or supports are not yet placed in image two. The third image still needs paint work so that procedural flora does come through tracks and roads.

 

As for your second post, you need to turn your detail sliders and note that not all signal bridges/gantries are in place. I still need to adjust detail level for some of the signal poles and tunnel portals, however, so thanks for that.

I just had a look at Walong (the loop), and the portals and signal posts are all set to "10" (always visible). Perhaps you missed installing an update? FWIW, you need the main file (v1.04.15.16), the cumulative update (v1.05.28.16), and the incremental update (v1.06.03.16) posted this past Friday.

I just had a look at Walong (the loop), and the portals and signal posts are all set to "10" (always visible). Perhaps you missed installing an update? FWIW, you need the main file (v1.04.15.16), the cumulative update (v1.05.28.16), and the incremental update (v1.06.03.16) posted this past Friday.

I just downloaded everything fresh. I deleted the 3Dtrains asset folder to start fresh- no route installed. I turned up the the detail sliders to the maximum. I installed everything in the order they were posted. And the area between Woodford and Marcel is pretty much empty. Am I the only one that is having this issue? I have not had any problems until just recently.

I see that your view distance slider is set to 25% (though I can see trees at Woodford). Otherwise, I haven't had any reports of what you describe.

I only installed the 060316 update over my working install and get the same result. The Walong area is now void of scenery.

On my spare install, which hasn't been updated for a while, the Walong area is as I remembered it.

 

So I suspect some assets got AWOL, or some scenery tiles got blanked in the 0603 update?

To try and find the cause, I re-installed the 0528 update, and got the Walong scenery back.

The I installed the 0603 update into a separate folder to see what is contained in it. Amongst others, I found a scenery tile -33+16, which is around Walong, and various tile surrounding it.
Indeed, the 0603 scenery tile is void, it only seems to contain terrain contour data. The 0528 us 472KB, the 0603 is only 65KB.

 

Hopefully Hack can get is sorted for the next update as there should be farm buildings inside the Loop now ....

I must have goofed somewhere - likely placing the wrong files in the wrong folders in the update. I'll fix asap.
