An update is available that fixes the missing road textures, wood grade crossings, and orange grove files.

Cheers!

May I just ask, does this automatically update by Steam, or do you have to download the updates manually?

Manually. The route is not available via Steam.

Is it so slow to update? It says over 9 hours are required.

Something must be wrong on your end. It's 830Mb for the full build, but shouldn't take 9hrs - unless you're on a normally slow connection. I show here less than 10min for my own download.

Cheers!

I am on 50 MBits/sec fiber. I thought perhaps you serve the download from a home server, so I waited patiently.

Nope - dedicated box in Colorado (or was it Arizona...?).

Cheers!

The wondrous world of the Internet ...

IIRC, downloads from your domain have always been slow over here. Being on 50 Mb/s fiber is no guarantee. More than the neighbourhood is on IPTV and who knows what bottleneck is here or there. Also, the ISP might throttle the Internet to keep people watching TV in HD. Without HDTV, customers immediately complain, and nowadays every room has a receiver.

I guess I've been spoiled. I can remember during the days of dial-up where I was happy to get 1Mb per minute speeds on 56k, and yet running a bulletin board on a home box at 9600 baud seemed like I was riding high. I also remember getting jealous when I heard a friend bragging about his new ISDL connection. Nowadays, if a webpage fails to load in the first 5-seconds, I'm off to something else.

Cheers!
Marc
