So,

 

I am attempting to revamp many of my assets physics, particularly the locomotives. One example would be the Empire Builder GE P42. I am using FanRailer's physics modification, but then still, the train accelerates way too fast, Gets from 0 MPH to 40 MPH in a matter of 5-8 seconds, and then the acceleration slows down around 45-50MPH to get to track speed..  Other issue I'm having is a problem with braking... The train is braking way too fast even in Minimal reduction, and the brakes seem to apply too fast. As soon as that handle moves, the train speeds is dropping a few MPH and will literally slow the train from 79 MPH to 50 in a few seconds...  I need to slow down these speeds, and also have a slight delay before the air sets throughout the train..

Hi There!
First, you need to fix brake ratio:

This line says that brake effort is set at 80% of vehicle weight, when it should be at 20% top. On freight trains it is 13%.
So, if the engine weights 432.000 lbs with a brake ratio at 80% your brakin' effort is 345.600 lbs, which is way to high...
Second, pressions:

That's me!! :salute:
Two tips:
1) you must be able to drag 6 cars with 1 engine on non HEP.

2) a minimal reduction can´t stop a train on a downhill.

If you maneged these two things, let me know...
