Claus - I noticed no Joshua Trees in your screens at Mojave - are they present? I thought I fixed the detail level for them, but I may have goofed when trying to code a "delete blueprint.pk" in the latest installer.

Cheers!
Marc

Hi Hack :) ,

I have just double checked, that I applied the newest/latest update correctly, and I did. Next thing I did, was to fly all over the route, and I'm sorry to say, but I didn't spot a single Joshua Tree anywhere  .

Best regards Claus

Please delete your blueprint cache and see if they appear.

Cheers!

Hi Marc.

Deleted the blueprint cache, but it made no difference.  No Joshua Trees appeared :( .

The Joshua Trees should only be present in and around Mojave. They were hidden from a friend, but we solved it with some adjustments to the blueprints and removal of the blueprint cache. I'll have to dig further.

Cheers!

Random shots with the latest update. Still no signs of any Joshua Trees, is it just on my installation/copy ?.

I spotted the Joshua trees on my install. Try looking south along the line to Palmdale.I do not know if they were insalled anywhere else but that is where I found them.Attached File  2015-10-18_00001.jpg   244.63KB   0 downloads

These are the Joshua trees, from left to right 1d, 2d, 3d, 4d. They are kind of small, but that is not uncommon for slow growing desert foliage.

They do seem to be confined to certain asset blocks?

Do they grow in clusters in the real desert, are they clustered around water holes?

Do they grow on the plains or also on the slopes?

Yes, pretty much confined to asset blocks. They are placed between Fleta and Sand Canyon, and you should start seeing them when traveling southbound atop the hills before rounding the curve at Warren.

Joshua Trees generally do not group close together and are normally found on relatively flat sandy soil throughout the Mojave Desert.

I limited the heights to averages. Only the oldest trees, some several hundred years old, reach heights above 30'. The ones here are about 15'~20'. A good compromise without having to create dozens of types that are confined to the southern portion of the route.

Cheers!
Marc

Reminds me of the dozen or more times I have been through Mojave. Wind machines on north are more modern than the old ones on the south range. Considering it has been about 10 years since my last trip through there.
