Remember the Coal Belt project? Well, even if the MSTS route for it is currently on ice... my interest in the railroad history for the region is not. Today I came by another very rare photograph of this historically obscure region.

Below you will find the only picture I've ever seen of the Midland Valley's depot at Hartford, Arkansas. Not only was it a treat to be able to see what it actually looked like, but it is also a treat to be able to see how cool it was! Very quaint architecture!

Dang... I wish building routes (in any sim, but MSTS in particular) wasn't so labor intensive. There are SO many neat subjects that ought to be modeled.

(sigh)

Man, I wish I could have seen Hartford in it's railroad heyday! Having stomped all four corners for customers in a former career that would have been neat to see all of the trackage that was there...let alone the operations.
