Below you will find activities that ON enthusiasts have developed.

IF you would like to submit an activity:

1. Package the tested activity and email it to me via laming at cebridge.net (Fix the "at" with the universal @ sign.)

2. Along with the apk, send a short note describing your activity.

3. If it uses ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT other than is supplied with the Ozark Northern route... LIST THEM! (The ON comes with 14 engines and something like 90 pieces of rolling stock... WHY would you use sumpthin' else??? biggrin.gif )

Have fun!

Submitted by Neil Milroy.

Discription:

"This revision of the pax activity furnished with the ON is meant to reflect the importance of mail-order items in those days, hence the extra baggage capacity, and the need to stop at every station for pick-up and delivery. The time-table is very foregiving and after the late start has been made up, speeds of 15 to 17 mph will suffice."

For any unforseen issues concerning this activity, email: nmilroy at msn.com

Enjoy!

Ozark Northern No. 1 Mixed Freight to St. Paul.

By Steve Weaver

Steve's description:

"This activity follows ON Time Table No. 7, No. 1 Mixed, as it does its peddler freight/LCL duties between Turners Bend and St. Paul. Upon arrival in St. Paul, it is at the mercy of the St. Paul Yardmaster for Esna transfers and St. Paul switching until departure time for No. 2 Mixed. During all of this, the crew has to dodge the other timetable trains as they make their way to and from Esna."

Looks to be a fun one! I've already had my butt chewed by the Ape for makin' him catch'on while movin' too fast!!

Once unzipped and the Activity installed, be sure to print out the Timetable for reference during the activity!

Thanks Steve, and enjoy troops!

Activity: "Workin' The Mines"

Submitted by: Mike Majeski

"You'll do a bit o'shufflelin' in Zinc City and the local mines, with a short run up to the lumber mill at Elam. Time Table No. 7 is in effect. You'll get to know your Fireman real well. Pay close attention to what he says, he does have a few good ideas! Remember when coupling that this is the "link & pin" era, there is a man standing very close to the cars! Nice and Gentle
Most of all have fun! (Mike the Yank)"

Instructions:

1. Download the zip and unzip it.

2. Open the unzipped folder and move the .apk file to the UTILS folder within your Train Simulator installation.

3. Drag and drop the "Workin' The Mines.act.apk" file onto the "tsunpack.exe" utility within the UTILS folder.

Go work the mines!

Thanks Mike!

Activity: "Turners Bend Switching"

Submitted by: Steve Weaver

ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:

Colorado Midland engine #100 from the VSC/DLW CM Equipment Pack.

Description:

"Turners Bend Switching" takes place on a snowy Monday morning. ON just took delivery of a CM 100 class switcher [the only non-ON piece] leftover from a manufacturer lot. Your job is to do all the picks and drops in Turners Bend, assembling trains from the industries and breaking up an AR&N transfer. Meanwhile, you need to stay out of the way of Time Table No. 7 trains - except for No. 2 Mixed (c'mon, it won't take you that long!). Be on your toes for extras blowing through town as well. Switch lists are in your Work Order, along with some other hints to make the activity enjoyable.

Instructions:

1. Download the zip and unzip it.

2. Open the unzipped folder and move the .apk file to the UTILS folder within your Train Simulator installation.

3. Drag and drop the "Tuners_Bend_Switcher.apk" file onto the "tsunpack.exe" utility within the UTILS folder.

For those of you that do not have Ozark Northern Time Table #7, below you will find it reproduced for your convenience!

Head for the Ozarks an' start switchin'!

Thanks Steve!
