One of the neat things when I was developing the East Metro all over again was Cameron Lashley's offer to do a couple of East Metro engines. He did SD7's and they are purty! But I wasn't able to take advantage of them for the Rebuild itself so I'm making a few activities to take get them on the route. The 1st activity is mostly done, here's a quick pick on the way to Clarksville.

Rich,

Is that the last train to Clarksville? Are you going to meet it at the station?

And I couldn't leave her if I tried. Like these jokes or not, I'm not your stepping stone.

Yes, we are showing our age. I think that is why I prefer the early diesel era (see another thread) for MSTS. It is also why I like Rich's jazz music -- gotta swing into that big band sound!

AH! all this nostalgia but, that was then this is now so why not listen to the band. (Rich's or Dick's) wink.gif

Joe, It is only he emrr-40s-01_fs stock car that has the cow sounds. It gives you the opportunity of "quiet" stock cars. Too many sound cars together get too much, and the smell!!! Phew!!!! There should be a file Stock001.wav in the emrr-sound folder.

Rich. Is there a link to Cameron's SDs?

It is the other sounds, stock02-05 that are not present..You're right, I was running the Titan to Metropolis and stepped out onto the first car and I think the GP9 blew a Turbo, sure smoky..

This one activity... it's royally kicking my butt to get it working consistently so here's a couple more pics from it.

You'll be sitting in Smallville a little while waiting for a train to pass thru...

And here's the last pic for this activity, cause I finally finished it! Whew! It was a toughie to do.

This kind of activity, oddly enough, is being talked about over at T-S at this moment as well, in the screenshot forum. What's different about this activity is you will couple up to an AI train and move on down the tracks with it to Big City which I'm saying to explain why the different consists are displayed in the past four pics about this activity. This is a long hour and a half activity but it's easy to do. Messages are included to help which can also be deactivated for subsequent runs after you've done it the first time.

#30 is in the can and it's a brain teaser. Let's talk classification. On second thought, I have a feeling I'll hear enough about it when you get to run this activity. Here's a couple of quick highlights.

Activities Update:

Still working on them! I had to backtrack on a few and decided a tutorial was necessary. I got the text done for the first five activities so I will continue pressing forward with the next five. Here's a picture from the fifth activity where you get to do a bit of switching at Big City Grain.
