Eola is a very cool place on the BNSF to watch trains....having been a regular there for about 20 years........I hope over zealous ( I have better adjectives) fans don't ruin it..those who post at the other place and a certain train pics place are everywhere.....jumping in front of other fans taking shots, running all over the tracks, ......and going where its not permitted..... I know a few BNSF people who are not too happy with them. I hope they continue to separate those who show respect and those who....well......the rest are at West Chicago....them back to Eola to catch Z- Cicero- South Seattle..........pics taken by my son Scott...

A rare sight at NI as one Metra westbound sits in the hole waiting for an eastbound scoot.

Those older GE FDL motors can really belch the smoke when suffering turbo lag. This unit left its mark all the way thru West Chicago. When looking on the horizon you thought 3985 had just came thru wacko.gif

For you west coast guys, this is what a GP-15 looks like when you take it out of "Tag City"

Even this string of geeps with a fine ex CNW on the point looks pretty darn good.

There still somewhat friendly at the West Chicago yard, telling us just to stay away from the tracks because of remote control. Ofcourse when the CNW was host they would invite you in the cab cool.gif

John, we ran up there on a fluke, didn't even expect to see anything but Metra. I darn near fell out of the truck after those gates dropped and a caught the symphonie playing as that westbound slammed thru the grade crossing. Me bad rolleyes.gif

The last time I saw 6410, it was sitting east of Big Timber Rd stopped with two cars on the ground 15 cars into the train. Yes, 6410 is our S5T unit, and a very godly horn it is.
